Live Graphic Systems has partnered up with the NBL (http://nbl.com.au/) in a landmark deal to deliver LIGR's automated graphics technology for the 2018 NBL Blitz pre-season, out of Bendigo and Ballarat.
LIGR will deliver professional and automated graphics overlay, synced with the production team on site, and distributed out to NBL.TV, WSC Sports and for the first time, Twitter AU.
From release:
The National Basketball League has partnered with Twitter to bring fans all the action live from its preseason tournament, the NBL Blitz.
The NBL Blitz will bring together the biggest names in Australian basketball with Bendigo Stadium to host four games this Thursday, followed by eight games at Ballarat Minerdome on Saturday and Sunday.
All games will be streamed live on NBL TV and, in another first for the NBL, via Twitter. The NBL Blitz will be available to Twitter users globally for free, whether they are logged-in or logged-out, via @NBL.
Twitter’s Head of Sports Partnerships Australia, Olly Wilton, said:
“Twitter is where sports stories break and passionate fans connect every day. We know from the conversations on Twitter there is a huge appetite for basketball content. Live streaming the NBL Blitz makes it easier than ever for fans to see how their teams are shaping up ahead of the season and expose the league to new audiences.”
For the first time, the live streams will use Live Graphic Systems (LIGR) cutting edge technology to deliver an automated live production that maximises engagement with fans and allows streaming from regional locations.
The NBL Blitz will lead into the next round of NBLxNBA games in the USA starting on September 28 and the start of the 2018-19 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season on October 11.
