‍Who we are

LIGR is the easiest way to add professional graphics to live sports streams. We are passionate about solving the problem of live graphics in the simplest and easiest way possible. Our mission is to allow anyone who wants to live stream sport, to be able to produce stunning and professional animations and graphics without any prior skill or knowledge. Every sports game deserves to be live and looking amazing!

As an early software engineer at LIGR, you will be responsible for helping to build our product and power the backend technologies that powers it. We are an early stage startup so we are looking for a self-motivated, passionate, and positive individual who is excited about solving complex problems for people in elegant and iterative ways. You will be working in close proximity to our design team so an interest in beautiful software is a big plus.

Who you will be working with

LIGR is a small team of people with various backgrounds. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, autonomous and passionate about solving problems. We don’t always succeed, but we learn from our mistakes to better ourselves and grow the business.

The role

- Contribute code to multiple projects and initiatives that modernise our front-end code

- Improving event-driven architecture and building backend services

- Research, propose, develop and deploy new functionality

- Be a part of the team: do code reviews, mentor others, refactor code, share knowledge

- Confidence to deploy and release to production

- Help and assist other team members to solve problems either internal or customer facing

Qualifications

- 3+ years of full-stack experience building high volume, scalable SaaS applications from end-to-end

- Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript

- Solid knowledge of React and its ecosystem.

- Strong proficiency in Node.js or professional experience in one of the following backend languages: Java, Ruby, Python, Go

- Experience in deploying and managing

- Experience building complex real-time software

Bonus:

- Understanding of sport

- Knowledge of video streaming
